In-Focus drives quality service

The Independent Marketing Partnership has brought forward the publication of its spring 2012 issue of In-Focus patient newsletter to mid January.

Used by the Partnership's 324 members, managing director Graham Hutchison said that in the current economic climate a quality newsletter that enabled practices to promote clinical authority, quality products and professional service, was more important than ever.

The latest issue will explain the importance of regular eye examinations, looking after children's vision, better vision for presbyopes and living with cataracts.

Hutchison said it was essential that independent opticians were more proactive in building patient loyalty next year.

'Most forecasters predict that the economy will experience a serious slowdown in the first half of 2012. Many patients will suffer a real reduction in their disposable income, which makes it more likely that they'll be tempted by low price offers from multiple groups.'

He added, though, that giving good value was not the same as offering the lowest price. 'Many people will pay for better quality and service - but only if they appreciate what is involved. So it's vital that independents tell the public about the real benefits of using their practices.'

The latest frame styles and how dispensing staff can help patients choose styles which really suit them are covered.
