In Focus: Eyes on sustainability

Practitioners and industry professionals came together at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, on November 5-6, for Optician’s first Eyes on Sustainability event. Optician editor Simon Jones welcomed attendees on the first evening to the science centre, which was situated at the foot of Arthur’s Seat and featured a giant globe hanging in its foyer.

Jones noted the venue’s ethos of telling the story of planet Earth from ‘beginning to mend’ and asked guests to think about how their optical practice or business could drive sustainability. He hoped Eyes on Sustainability would inspire action and said the event was part of Optician’s commitment to providing informative and educational content on sustainability.
