In Focus: Optician rocks Brighton’s i360

Optician’s Eyes on Sustainability conference was attended by over 80 optical industry professionals on October 2 at Brighton’s i360 venue to share ideas and learn how the industry had taken steps towards a more sustainable future. 

It was a CPD event that brought together experts and companies from eye care, including contact lenses, eyewear, ophthalmic lenses and retail operations.

Simon Jones, editor of Optician, chaired the conference and thanked attendees for engaging with discussion points during the day.

‘I’m very happy with how this year’s Eyes on Sustainability conference went and the delegate feedback we have already received. 

‘While the heavens opened for the Waterhaul beach clean during the evening before the event, the sun shone on Brighton’s i360 to reinforce what the event is all about – getting the optical industry to play its part in combating climate change.
