Contact lens home delivery provider EyeCare Services is offering practitioners the opportunity to sell products online without creating their own e-commerce websites.
The service is through the company's Posh Eyes website, which managing director Julian Gooddy said had a wide presence thanks to investment in recent years.
Practices would be able to sell contact lenses and frames, from Armani to X-Eyes, while benefiting from discounts on optical purchases.
'It is primarily aimed at independents and smaller chains as the bigger groups have their own capability,' said Gooddy. 'This is the area where companies are suffering from the likes of Glasses Direct and co.'He added that the option was a relatively small investment in comparison with setting up your own e-commerce site from scratch in terms of time, cost and experience.
