The BCLA expects top international speakers to draw record numbers to its clinical conference and exhibition from May 31-June 3.
Around 675 delegates have so far registered for the conference in Manchester. The scientific programme offers a total of 33 CET points, 27 of which are contact lens specific.
The worldwide myopia epidemic will be covered in a full-day symposium. Microbial keratitis, dry eye, corneal staining and the future of contact lens practice are also topics for discussion. An Alcon-sponsored welcome lecture on the evening of May 31 with a speech by Professor Lyndon Jones will be followed by a presentation by Alcon on its latest solution. Bausch & Lomb will launch its latest daily disposable lens and Johnson & Johnson Vision Care will host its 'Be the best you can be' event with an 'inspirational talk' by Sir Clive Woodward.
