An educational meeting for independent prescribers (IP) was held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on April 27, led by Tompkins, Knight & Son Optometrists' clinical director, Dr Keyur Patel.
The second annual meeting gathered more than 60 IP opticians for a day of lectures and workshops, which explored treatment pathways and learning through real-life scenarios.
Dr Keyur Patel said: 'This group brings independent prescribers together so we can all benefit from each other’s experience, share ideas and ensure we are all acting in a joined-up way that ensures the best treatment for our patients.
