January deadline for papers and posters

The British Contact Lens Association is inviting the submission of papers and posters for its annual clinical conference and exhibition next year.
For the 2002 conference, which will be held in Birmingham from May 24-26, electronic submission via the AssociationÕs website is preferred, with the deadline for submissions January 15, 2002.
Papers on any topics related to contact lenses or the anterior eye will be considered but the association is particularly interested in receiving papers on: continuous wear, corneal physiology and specialist contact lenses.
All delegates presenting papers (not posters) are entitled to a 50 per cent reduction on their conference delegate fee for next year and receive a full refund of the delegate fee if their manuscript is subsequently published in the BCLAÕs peer-reviewed journal, Contact Lens & Anterior Eye.
Further details of the conference programme will be released in December.
A 300-word abstract for the paper or poster should be included on the Call for Papers and Posters form which is available from the BCLA office or the associationÕs website, www.bcla.org.uk
