US vision insurance organisation VSP Global has announced that current president Jim McGrann take up the position of CEO from October 1 2015.

McGrann, who will remain as president in a dual-function role, will take over from Rob Lynch, who is retiring.

VSP said that in three years in his role as president, McGrann oversaw the growth of  its membership from 56 million to 75 million. He also facilitated the expansion of VSP’s insurance offerings into the UK. Revenue for the vision Care division grew from $3.2BN in 2012 to a projected $4bn by the end of the year.

‘Jim’s focus on integration and capitalising on the synergies of each of the divisions will yield tremendous benefits to our panel members, our clients and, most importantly for our 75+ million members,’ said VSP Global chairman of the board Randy Lee.
