Keeler focuses on consulting room

For one-stop shopping, instrument manufacturer Keeler has launched a new range of consulting room equipment and accessories for practitioners. These include refraction stands and chairs, slit lamps, tables and stools, a programmable chart projector and a new keratometer.

Three new refraction stands are available: Compact for limited space; Optiflex for the larger practice which has space for an optional third instrument table for mounting an autorefractor or non-contact tonometer; and Optiflex Hospital, similar to the Optiflex and designed to allow easy access for wheelchair-bound patients. Four new slit lamps have also been introduced: the SL-33 Zoom has Haag-Streit-type illumination and zoom magnication between 6-33X. The SL-40 has Haag-Streit-type illumination and Zeiss-type optics with a choice of five magnifications between 6-40X. The SL-16 video is designed for use with an imaging system, has Haag-Streit-type optics and magnifications between 10-16X. The SL-16 is similar to the SL-16 video, but does not have a CCD camera option. The new Javal keratometer has an illuminated reading scale and fixation point, joystick-controlled height and x/y movement, and a measurement range of 3.4mm. Other accessories include a range of tables and stools and a programmable chart projector, the Pro-Chart.
