Keeler has released a new version of its Classic portable slit lamp (PSL). The new PSL One offers 10X magnification with illumination control down to zero and has been designed as a more cost effective option.

Keeler said the PSL One had been designed to be lightweight and durable, and suited for use on paediatric, elderly and disabled patients, in on- or off-site clinics. A precision-machined aluminium chassis creates a structure claimed to be able to withstand daily travel and use in a busy practice.

The slit lamp features slit and wheels from 0.15-1.6mm, a 12mm circle and a 1mm square to produce anterior chamber flare, claimed to aid diagnosis of uveitis. Red free, blue and neutral density filters all come as standard.
