Kerr joins the BCLA team

Optometrist Christopher Kerr is to join the BCLA's conference organising team as clinical adviser.

A former BCLA chairman, Kerr is chairman and managing director of an independent practice in south London, where he has practised for more than 40 years.

He will work alongside Jonathan Walker, conference scientific programme officer, and newly appointed conference manager Yolanda Boudeling, and will also serve on the Association's conference committee. Boudeling joins the BCLA team with eight years' experience in events management at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals.

Next year's BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition will be held in Manchester from May 28-31 2009. The closing date for submitting abstracts for papers, posters and rapid-fire presentations is January 2009.
