Khan takes up VAO post

Imran Khan has been appointed international programme director at eye care charity Vision Aid Overseas, where he will work with professional volunteers.

Khan has worked with organisations including Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), Unite for Sight, the Fred Hollows Foundation and the International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE).

The doctor of optometry also lectures and holds an appointment in the Department of Public Health at Salus University in the US.

He said: 'I am delighted to have the opportunity to join an eye care organisation that has human resource development at the centre of its operations.'
