King Charles III is new RNIB patron

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has announced that His Majesty King Charles III will be the new patron of the charity.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was patron from her accession to the throne in 1952, until her death in 2022, while Queen Victoria was the charity’s first patron from 1875.

Matt Stringer, RNIB CEO, said: ‘We are delighted and honoured to announce His Majesty King Charles III as our new royal patron. The support of His Majesty the King will make a huge difference to our organisation’s work in breaking down the barriers that exist in society for blind and partially sighted people living across the UK.’
