BETTER BY DESIGN: It's not often that an optical practice wins a design accolade, but Kirk Originals' Conduit Street flagship store in London has done exactly that. The store's designers, Campaign Design, collected the prestigious LICC interior design award at a ceremony held last week.
The store's notoriety was also helped when it was was cited as one of '11 insanely cool flagship stores,' by industry website Business Insider. Jason Kirk, managing director of Kirk Originals, said: 'We wanted to create an optical store with a fashion environment where people can enjoy the whole experience of shopping for eyewear in the same way as they might enjoy shopping for any other item of clothing.'
