Dutch frames brand Komono has revealed a line of experimental frames designed through partnership with students at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Part of the company’s new project, Komono Next, the capsule collection contains five frames each designed in collaboration with one student.
Komono x Luca Holzinger
The Komono x Luca Holzinger frame has been fabricated from nylon as an ode to swimwear, which formed part of the artist’s inspiration. With an asymmetrical slant to the straight browbar and a liquid-like transparent detail that partially covers the right lens, the thick cat’s eye rims are sure to turn heads.
