Optimax is to open a new treatment centre in Milton Keynes as part of the company's programme for a national network of clinics.
The laser eye surgery provider said that the new clinic was scheduled to open later this month and would feature the latest IntraLase laser platforms. The launch follows the recent opening of consultation clinics in Liverpool Street, London and Cardiff, in addition to a new treatment clinic in Nottingham.
According to Optimax chairman Russell Ambrose, the laser eye surgery sector remains largely unaffected in the difficult trading environment.
'The credit crunch hasn't affected our customers,' said Ambrose. 'Quite the reverse. They like saving money on glasses and contact lenses in ever increasing numbers. This could be because of our offer of interest free credit to everyone. More and more people are taking three years to pay.'
