Carl Zeiss digital lens to combat digital eye strain Carl Zeiss Vision has extended its ophthalmic lens portfolio with the release of the Digital lens option designed to lessen the effects of digital eye strain.

The company said digital devices were used in every aspect of a patient’s life, from the moment they wake up to ‘switching off’ at night. The continuous use was said to place high demands on accommodation and convergence, often resulting tired eyes, stiff neck and headaches.

The new lenses, designed as a primary lens can be worn all day and were said to be naturally accepted by the eye within a minimal accommodation period.
