Leading ladies celebrated by Specsavers

Specsavers celebrated International Women’s Day by acknowledging the achievements of one of its most successful female partnerships.

Emma Handford and Kaneez Sham, healthcare directors at Specsavers Hearcare in Watford, were described as wholly passionate about their business, said a spokesperson for the multiple.

Handford, joined her local audiology department as a secretary after she was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome and forced to change jobs. She later qualified as an audiologist.

When Sham qualified as an audiologist, the pair completed the Specsavers’ Pathway programme with the intention of taking over the Watford branch whose director was looking to leave.
