South East group Leightons has embarked upon a network-wide revamp of its practices which will include a £5000,000 investment in OCT as part of a growth strategy including increased staff development and the possibility of acquisitions.
Ryan Leighton, chief executive officer, speaking exclusively to Optician, said he wanted to get across the message that Leightons was undergoing a period of change and modernisation. Codenamed Project Burgundy, the revamp will see clean white replace the old Burgundy colour scheme in a project to refresh fascias across the group. This would be backed up by store refurbishment and staff development. The ethos of the group, to improve people’s vision and hearing and to offer life-long care, would not change.
