Lens designed to provide more comfort

CooperVision claims that up to half of daily disposable contact lens wearers are still looking for more comfort from their lenses.

Research among 2,000 European lens wearers showed that comfort was still an issue for daily disposable wearers and that they relied on advice from eye care practitioners to recommend the right products.

The results were revealed as the company used the British Contact Lens Association Conference and Exhibition in Manchester to announce availability dates for its daily disposable Proclear 1 day lens which it claims will provide daily disposable wearers with enhanced comfort.

James Fenn, UK marketing manager for CooperVision, said all-day comfort was the crucial factor in contact lens wear. Practitioners had been asking for a Proclear daily disposable product for some time, he said.
