Lenstec Optical completes hike to summit of Snowdon

Eleven members of staff from Lenstec Optical recently completed a 10-mile hike to the summit of the highest mountain in Wales, Snowdon.

The group were raising money for nearby school St James Primary in Caerphilly, and the feat has whetted the appetite for more fundraising opportunities in the area.

‘It was a wonderful weekend,’ says Matthew Castle, Lenstec Optical general manager, pictured right, with senior technician, Kristina Taska, centre, and production manager Wayne Howells, left.

‘It was a great team building exercise as well as being a memorable experience. St James’ were delighted with the £380 donation towards their new disabled bus, and we are already looking forward to the next challenge,’ added Clarke.

The climb also gave the team an opportunity to test their new range of Julbo ultra-high-performance sunglass models.
