LOCSU praises regional LOC companies for commissioning work

A number of regional LOC companies around England have been hailed as successes by LOCSU in a recent commissioning newsletter issued by the organisation.

Services provided by Primary Eyecare Heart of West Midlands were highlighted for praise. Walsall LOC and Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull LOCs were in the process of rolling out services throughout the region which were estimated to be worth almost £1,000,000 per year and represent two of the biggest procurements LOCSU had ever supported, the organisation said. ‘It is also just the type of combined services that the new Breakthrough Strategy for Optics aims to replicate across the country,’ a LOCSU statement said.
