Leeds will be the venue for the BCLA's next one-day CET course, designed to provide a comprehensive refresher on recent developments in contact lens and anterior eye practice.
Approved for seven CL CET points (six for DOs), the event will be held on October 12 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Leeds.
Dr Catharine Chisholm will open the programme with a review of refractive surgery. Dr Janet Vale will provide an update on the use of ocular therapeutics and Dr Cindy Tromans and Professor Bruce Evans will look at managing keratoconus and orthoptic/paediatric indications for CL fitting. The day ends with an update on monovision by Professor Evans and 'Avoiding keratitis' by Dr Philip Morgan.
BCLA Pioneers' Conference is an afternoon of lectures celebrating contact lens pioneers and looking forward to future advances. It will be held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London on November 22.
