Luxottica and Chanel have announced the signing of a new licence agreement for the development, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Chanel prescription frames and sunglasses until December 31 2018.
The contract would be renewable until December 31 2020 and the new agreement aimed to build a successful product line combining Chanel’s creation with Luxottica’s expertise and manufacturing capabilities through the most luxurious and appropriate distribution network.
Andrea Guerra, Luxottica CEO said the move marked the extension of a long-standing relationship between the two companies, which dated back to 1999 with the launch of Chanel’s first-ever eyewear collections and continued with great mutual satisfaction.
