MacuShield has launched a patient loyalty programme in conjunction with its UK distributor and Optician Awards 2014 Optical Supplier of the Year Bondeye Optical.
The company said the new Sign Up & Save scheme had been launched specifically for practices looking to fight back against online retailers who can afford to take much lower margins. It is based around the supply of products direct to patient’s homes, similar to the present contact lens delivery model.
‘This is the first time that a supplement manufacturer has taken this approach and by doing this we hope to make the product accessible to the masses, but with personalised delivery notes, so that to all intents and purposes it has been delivered personally by their own opticians practice,’ said a MacuShield spokesperson.
