Adlens has won a Gold Award at the Asian Innovation Awards for its EmergenSee self-adjustable glasses. The awards, held in Hong Kong last week, recognise innovations that break with conventional processes, and were presented by The Wall Street Journal Asia in partnership with Credit Suisse.
Former Prime Minister Sir John Major moderated a panel discussion with winners who were selected from among 250 applicants from across Asia.
Pictured receiving the award from John Major is Yoshinobu Nakashima, CEO of Adlens Japan, who said: 'The EmergenSee has been immediately useful in Japan after the devastating earthquake and tsunami this year it provided a solution for those who lost their glasses, allowing them to start re-building their lives. We believe it has important application for many more emergency situations, and hope that this award will help more people get to know us.'
