Mandie Lavin, GOC director of regulation, has been appointed as chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and will leave the regulator next year.
The news was announced at the GOC’s quarterly meeting this week by Samantha Peters, GOC chief executive and registrar.
Lavin would take up her new position on January 1 2015, with the GOC to announce plans to appoint her successor later in the summer.
Peters said: ‘We’re sad to see Mandie leave but on a personal level I’m delighted to see her appointed to this well-deserved new role.
