The spring/summer 2011 optical collection from designer Manish Arora features his signature use of bright colour, patterns and humour.
Inspecs said that inspiration was taken from Japanese artist Hiroshi Nagai, whose modern deco artwork features beachside waves and cityscape sunsets 'tinted in a Technicolour poster colour palette'.
The eyewear line pulls colour from the catwalk collection, with expensive finishes and techniques, film star oversized proportions and softly hexagonal retro influences. Traditional Indian Shiva prints and baroque-inspired patterns also feature. Arora said the designs were influenced by Art Deco 20s influences, with silhouettes inspired by buildings from that era and created for everyday wear.
