Marathon man

Dr Michael Johnson, owner of Johnson & Furze optometry practice in Thornbury rose temporarily to the top of the UK half-marathon standings after his performance of 65.46 in the Barcelona half-marathon. Representing Wales in the event Johnson would have done better but was misdirected around a large roundabout. Since purchasing the practice in Gloucestershire in December, Johnson has adopted a regime of training twice a day, leaving his home at 6am and returning near midnight.
