Marcolin and Swarovski have signed a five-year licensing deal for the production and global distribution of Swarovski sunglasses and frames.

Marcolin and Swarovski have signed a five-year licensing deal for the production and global distribution of Swarovski sunglasses and frames.

The launch of the first sun collection is planned for spring/summer 2011 and will be aimed at the top end of the luxury eyewear market.

Maurizio Marcolin, Marcolin's style and licensing officer, commented: 'Swarovski stands for the highest quality cut crystal all over the world and is an incredible inspiration for designers in fashion, jewellery, accessories and even interior design.'

Swarovski and Silhouette had already said their licensing deal for Swarovski eyewear would end in 2010 (News 06.03.09).
