Marcolin and Jardins d'Avrons, the company responsible for producing and distributing fashion-designer John Galliano's products, have announced the signing of an exclusive licensing agreement for the production and worldwide distribution of men's and women's eyewear under the brand John Galliano.
The five-year agreement, renewable for another two years, will be effective from September 2009, with the first John Galliano Eyewear collection being unveiled in the autumn of that year.
Having previously worked on eyewear collections in his capacity as head of design for Dior, Galliano said of the agreement: 'Sunglasses and eyewear are essential accessories to make a statement on and off the runway and I am really excited to give them a Galliano twist. I am thrilled to be working with Marcolin and to add eyewear to the Galliano brand. I can't wait to begin a new vision in vision.'
