Health Minister Dawn Primarolo has announced a marginal increase in optical voucher values to take effect from April 1 2009.
Optical vouchers that help with the cost of spectacles and contact lenses for children, people on low incomes and people with complex vision problems will increase in value by an overall 2 per cent.
The announcement coincides with wider Department of Health changes to dental and prescription charges for specialist groups.
