Voucher values rise by 2.5% in England

Examples of the changes, published by FODO, include: single-vision voucher A £31.30 (old value: £30.50); single-vision voucher B £47.60 (£46.40); single-vision voucher C £64.80 (£63.20); single-vision voucher D £146.30 (£142.70); bifocals voucher E £54 (£52.70); bifocals voucher F £68.70 (£67); bifocals voucher G £83 (£81); and bifocals voucher H £160.90 (£157).
A Department of Health spokesman said: 'The increase will continue to provide help with the cost of spectacles or contact lenses to children, people on low incomes and individuals with complex sight problems.'
FODO has stated it is likely that the Scottish Executive and Welsh Assembly will agree the same increases.
