Harrogate optometrist Martin Hoyle has died. He graduated from Bradford in 1977, joining the house practice of the late Harrogate optometrist Peter Dalton and becoming senior OO at the start of the 1990s.
Harrogate optometrist Martin Hoyle has died. He graduated from Bradford in 1977, joining the house practice of the late Harrogate optometrist Peter Dalton and becoming senior OO at the start of the 1990s.
Optometrist Chris Nixon from Starbeck said: 'Martin had effortless clinical skills and had a calm, quiet manner with patients of all ages.'
He enjoyed the outdoor life, fell walking, skiing, kayaking, windsurfing and bird watching, and was a keen participant in the local scout group. He is survived by his wife Heather, who worked alongside him in the practice, and his children Tom and Alice.
