Mayor opens new Lancashire eye clinic

Practice Plus Group opened a new eye care clinic on September 9 in the heart of Bramber Bridge, three miles from Preston.

Opened by the Mayor and Mayoress of South Ribble Borough council, the treatment centre replaced its former mobile eye unit in a B&Q car park, which served the local community for seven years.

As well as the Mayor and Mayoress, the Practice Plus Group team also welcomed guests from The Macular Society, the Lancashire Local Optical Committee and new and existing patients.

Caroline McHugh, service director for ophthalmology, said: ‘We are delighted to expand our services in the North of England with the opening of our new specialist eye clinic in Bamber Bridge.’
