Practice Plus Group has opened a new mobile eye clinic in Stockport, providing the local community with quicker access to optical diagnoses and treatments.
The new clinic adds to the group’s existing network of 11 mobile eye clinics and will support patients with a number of conditions, including cataracts and glaucoma.
It will also offer NHS and private referrals for vitreo-retinal and oculoplastic surgery.
Caroline McHugh, ophthalmology service director at Practice Plus Group, said: ‘Our new mobile eye clinic offers greater accessibility and healthcare choice for people of Stockport and surrounding areas.
‘We are also proud to be the first independent healthcare provider in the North West to offer referrals for vitreo-retinal eye surgeries on the NHS.’
