Menicon holds free CET meeting at new training facility

Menicon held a free CET evening for the Northampton Local Optical Committee last month

Menicon held a free CET evening for members of the Northampton Local Optical Committee last month following the launch of its new onsite training facility.

Worth six CET points, the first event held in the new clinic on May 23 included lectures on the anterior eye and the visual recognition test, as well as discussions on irregular corneas, fitting contact lenses and myopia control.

The new facility will be used for training practitioners, holding CET events and launching new contact lens products. Menicon bought the site 10 years ago from private family company David Thomas Contact Lenses, who has had the facility since 1985. Earlier this year, the site was expanded with an extension of the offices and training spaces.
