Modo's Italia Independent appointment

Modo added the Italia Independent brand to its portfolio last month with Lapo Elkann, founder of the brand, taking on the role of creative director.

Modo, which distributed Modo and Eco brands, was said by the company to ensure a solid corporate organisation and stronger presence in international distribution for Italia Independent.

Alessandro Lanaro, Modo’s CEO said: ‘The founder of Italia Independent is its beating heart. I am delighted that Lapo will accompany us in the relaunch of this unique and pioneering brand, contributing his style and genius.’

The first Italia Independent collection to launch as part of the Modo Group was scheduled for Spring/Summer 2024, distributed through an exclusive network of opticians worldwide, said the company.
