Fashion house Christain Lacroix has agreed an exclusive multi-year licence deal with eyewear company Mondottica International to produce frames and sunglasses for men and women across all markets.

The women's Christian Lacroix Eyewear Collection will be unveiled at this year's Silmo exhibition for the 2011 season and will draw inspiration from Lacroix's fashion and accessories, reflecting the brand's exuberant creativity and design details.

Mondottica chairman Michael Jardine said: 'Designing an eyewear collection with Christian Lacroix is a dream come true. Few brands worldwide enjoy such a level of emotional attachment and reputation fro creativity.'

The company began working with Christian Lacroix and his team more than a year ago and Jardine described the resulting product, which captures the spirit of Lacroix, as 'the jewel in our portfolio'.
