Monoqool’s new 3D tech cuts energy by 90%

Monoqool launched new 3D printing technology that enabled it produce semi-transparent frames for the first time in a more environmentally friendly process.

The Danish eyewear brand said its Liquid 3D Technology was one of the most sustainable manufacturing processes in eyewear.

It combined low temperatures with fast printing times to ensure 90% less energy was consumed, compared to conventional Selective Laser Sintering 3D printing.

Monoqool said more colourful glasses combined with design freedom allowed it to play with eyewear shapes, three-dimensional details and eyewear hinges only possible in 3D printing.
