Politician Jo Johnson was welcomed to Anglia Ruskin’s new University Eye Clinic in Cambridge last week.

The minister of state for universities and science, brother of London mayor Boris Johnson, attended a roundtable with vice-chancellors and principals from universities across eastern England.

He also joined a class of students on the optometry degree, and said: ‘It was great to see the optometry students' hard at work in Anglia Ruskin’s new University Eye Clinic. The emphasis on engaging teaching is commendable and is backed up by excellent research in the Vision and Eye Research Unit.’
