Cooper Companies' financial results for the second quarter of 2009 revealed a revenue increase of 1 per cent over the same period in 2008 to $260.6m.
CooperVision's total revenue increased 4 per cent from the same period in 2008 to $217.8m. Toric lenses provided the company with revenue of $65.39m, a decrease of 11 per cent on the same period in 2008 and a decrease of 1 per cent at constant exchange rates. Revenue from sales of multifocal lenses increased by 17 per cent at constant exchange rates to $14.6m, while revenue from sales of single-use sphere lenses increased 16 per cent at constant exchange rates to $43.944m.
