Specsavers Opticians has another prize to put in its growing trophy cabinet, this time for information technology.
The Guernsey-based multiple beat off electrical retailer Dixons and Switzerland's leading supermarket, Migros, to win the Supply Chain Excellence Award.
The honour, presented at the European Retail Solutions Awards in Birmingham last month, recognises businesses that have sought to overcome the demands of global buying and stock levels.
The judges were particularly impressed by Specsavers' systems 'because of its geographical spread across several countries as well as the strong benefits it offers to its customers'.
Earlier this year the company's IT department won the Best in Corporate Systems Award at the Retail Systems Achievements in Chicago, this time beating US retail giant the Sears Group.
Specsavers IT director Michel Khan said: 'It is always greatly rewarding to receive recognition from one's peer group. To win awards of such magnitude - considered alongside some of the top retailers in the world - is a true honour.'
