Specsavers Opticians has received the top prize at Ireland's Radio Advertising Awards.
The 30-second commercial, called 'Duel' beat off competition from other major high street names including McDonald's, to win the prize at a gala dinner at Dublin's Burlington Hotel.
Specsavers director of marketing activity Tim Orton, its creative copywriter Rob Turville and regional marketing manager Karl Endean represented the opticians at the ceremony which was attended by 500 members of the Republic's media industry.
The radio advert features two men fighting a duel at dawn, firing repeatedly, and always missing. After using up all their bullets the cue - 'Should've gone to Specsavers' - is used.
The Radio Advertising Awards, which are described as 'the premier advertising awards in Ireland', attracted a total of 35 entries in the category.
