The latest generation of low vision aids will be on show at the Opti '10 exhibition at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from January 15-17 2010.
Organisers point out that in Germany over 500,000 people have less than 30 per cent of the vision of a person with normal eyesight. This figure is set to rise due to demographic changes and environmental influences. Market leaders Eschenbach, Schweizer, Reinecker Reha and Zeiss will be at the show. The importance of magnification to help people lead a more independent life is a major theme for 2010. Illuminated magnifiers and a head-worn loupe will be among the new LVAs exhibited.
