Munich sets the tone for optics in 2017

Opti Munich rated a success by visitors and exhibitors

More than 27,500 optical professionals from 35 countries descended on Munich last weekend for the annual exhibition season opener, opti – the International Trade Fair for Optics and Design.

It was the 10th anniversary that the event has been under the stewardship of exhibition organiser GHM. The company marked the occasion with a opti party and bar each evening, complete with live band.

GHM said visitors ordered products over the three days amounting to more than €163m, which was €10m more than 2016 and data showed that 95% of visitors rated the event as ‘outstanding to good’. Ninety-one percent of the 557 exhibitors said the same.
