Munich's Opti 08 exhibition from January 11-13 will have a new positioning as the leading fair for the German-speaking markets and the emerging markets of eastern Europe.

Visitors to the show, in Halls C1 to C4 of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, will find an extended, restructured product and information area, with a programme on shopfitting, customer advice and marketing of lifestyle concepts.

Head of press Dr Ulrich Probst told Optician: 'Opti has always aimed to attract high-quality trade visitors from Germany and abroad to the exhibition venue in Munich, and this has not changed. For Opti 08, too, the organisers are expecting key companies from the UK to take part.' UK firms include Booth & Bruce and Continental Eyewear.
