Some 450 exhibitors will be taking part at the opti '11 exhibition in Munich from January 28-30, with more than 160 companies from 25 countries outside Germany.
A number of country pavilions have been attracted to the fair as a platform to present their national optical products and give a boost to exports. Alongside Italy, Turkey is organising its own official country pavilion at opti for the first time, with seven exhibitors showing their frame and sunglass collections outside Turkey for the first time. Organisers added that increased interest from abroad was reflected in the presence of a French joint stand and in the participation from new exhibitors from Great Britain, for example Cutler & Gross, the US, for example Wiley X, the Netherlands with exhibitor Entourage of 7 and Japan with Hiero House.
