Nearly 85 per cent of the 23,000 visitors that descended on Munich for last week's opti '12 trade fair rated its international coverage as 'good to excellent', a post event survey has shown.

'With new exhibitors and designers from Germany and abroad - including ones from Japan and the US - opti has further underlined its fashion and design competence and broadened its international coverage,' said Dieter Dohr, CEO and president of show organisers GHM, who added that attendance was slightly up on 2011's event.

The fair had a number of British companies, some of whom were exhibiting at opti for the first time. Mark Truss, sales director of the Norville Group, was enthused by the company's participation at the show: 'It's our first time here and we'll definitely be coming back, just with a bigger booth. Prior to this week, we thought opti was quite regional, but that definitely is not the case,' he said.
