Muswell Hill’s Observatory the Opticians completes refit

Muswell Hill's Observatory the Opticians has completed a Hoxton and Shoreditch-inspired refit.

Managing director Jonathan Foreman said he wanted to tap into the aesthetic of the area with reclaimed interior pieces and industrial design. The practice will feature fewer frames on display after a carefully drawn up merchandising strategy.

‘The refit was amazingly easy. I called the designer in late November. He reused much of what we had, and came in with a low budget as this is about design, not money. We only closed for six days. I will be using this sort of "we found a shop and dressed it" approach in the other practices too,’ said Foreman.
